MMS is doing an unBELIZEable job collecting shoes for the Belize Shoe Drive happening in our community! Sixth graders from MMS, Demita R., Leni C., and Bee B. are holding just a few pairs that have been collected so far. The 6th graders have been learning about Belize in their classes and now get to be part of this service learning project. More than 15 area locations are accepting donations of new socks and gently used shoes for Belize through the end of March. Donated items are given to people in need through YouCan Missions, a local non-profit organization based in Theresa. Sturdy casual shoes in all sizes appropriate for a tropical climate are appreciated. Tennis shoes are especially needed. Collection bins are located at: Open Door Coffeehouse, TSB Banks (Mayville, Lomira, and Theresa); all schools in Mayville and most churches; TAG Center; True Value in Mayville; Lomira Piggly Wiggly; Theresa Library and Town Hall; and Horicon Family Chiropractic. #mayvillecardinals #mayvilleschools #cardinalpride
