Mayville Boys Soccer won at Lomira on Thursday, 9/11 by a score of 3-0. The Cardinals scored in the first half through Gerardo C.L., who scored from close range. They extended their lead in the 42nd minute when Alexis C.V. set up Joey R. for a good finish off the far post. Nick W. completed the scoring on a corner kick taken by Joey. Seth Z. made two saves for the Cardinals, who improved to 2-1 in the Flyway Conference and 3-3 overall. āWe showed lots of hustle and desire by being first to the ball during the game,ā Coach Brownlow said. āOur energy made the difference because we were able to control the play, and when our opportunities came, we were able to score. Our Mayville Girls and Boys ran well at the Dodge County Cross Country Invite at River Bend Park in Horicon. Both teams finished 2nd out of seven schools and brought home 14 individual medals.
