Cardinal Singers High School Show Choir 2025

The Cardinal Singers have taken flight and are already two competitions into the show choir season, launching their first performance of the year at New London Singstock on January 17th, and Sparta on January 24th.

For the 2025-26 competition set, the ensemble draws inspiration from the beloved Disney•Pixar film Up, bringing its heartwarming story, memorable characters, and uplifting music to life on stage.

Audiences can expect a vibrant mix of vocals, choreography, and storytelling as the group creatively reimagines fan‑favorite moments from the movie. The Cardinal Singers will showcase their “Up”-themed production at these remaining competitions:

  • Sauk Prairie – January 31

  • Fort Atkinson – February 14

  • Monona Grove – February 21

The season will conclude with the much‑anticipated Annual Music Finale at the Schauer Center on March 8th, celebrating a year of dedication, artistry, and musical achievement.

The group is led by John Dobbratz, now in his 10th year as Show Choir Director, whose leadership and creative vision continue to shape unforgettable performances. He is joined by J.D. Cooney, director of the Show Choir Band, whose musicians bring the show’s energy and emotion to life with every note.

Community support remains essential to the success of the Cardinal Singers. Attending competitions is a powerful way to cheer on the talented dancers, vocalists, and musicians who work tirelessly to perfect their craft. Mayville High School’s strong commitment to the arts thrives because of the support of families and community members.

Join the Cardinal Singers this season - experience the magic, celebrate the music, and help keep the arts soaring. Hope to see you there!
