District Performance
The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction issues a District and School Report Card to every publicly-funded school and district in the state. These report cards are created annually to help parents gain a better understanding of how their child's school is performing, and areas in which it can improve. These report cards are a large part of the Wisconsin Accountability System.
You can find links to current and previous year's report cards by visiting the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction's Accountability Report Cards web page, or you can access the most current report cards by clicking on the reports below.
2024-25 State Report Cards
In addition to report cards, there are multiple data elements available on the Department of Public Instruction's WISEdash portal. Continue reading below for more information about WISEdash and the information available there.
Wisconsin Information System for Education Data Dashboard (WISEdash)
WISEdash Public Portal is a resource for parents, educators, students and community members interested in learning about school and student data published by the DPI. Student enrollment, attendance and results of certain tests (like the Forward Exam and the Statewide ACT) are available in WISEdash. You can access information about the Mayville School District on the WISEdash Public Portal. If you need any help with navigating the portal, please see the WISEdash Help Page.
If you'd like additional information about Mayville School District performance reports, standards, and rankings, please contact Carrie Mathison, Director of Teaching & Learning at the Mayville School District offices at (920) 387-7963 x2135.
Additional Information
Accountability Report Cards include data on multiple indicators for multiple years across four Priority Areas:
Student Achievement – performance on the state reading and mathematics tests
Student Growth – improvement over time on the state reading and mathematics tests
Target Group Outcomes – demonstrates outcomes for students with the lowest test scores in their school
On-track and Post-secondary Readiness – performance on key indicators of readiness for graduation and postsecondary pursuits, whether college or career
In 2025, the DPI worked to revise the report cards. These changes mean a new baseline for public schools.
Wisconsin state report cards also contain data that are not factored into report card scoring, but are reported for context or additional information about schools and districts. This includes the following data:
Test participation - supplemental information about student participation in the most recent state assessments. Shows a school/district’s recent English language arts and mathematics participation alongside statewide participation, allowing for comparisons to state averages.
Student group level reporting - performance data broken down by student group, including race/ethnicity and service provision (economically disadvantaged, English learners, and/or students with disabilities), contained in supplementary pages of the report cards. This disaggregation allows educators to assess the impact of student outcomes on overall performance and identify groups of students who are in need of support or are demonstrating progress.
Course and Program data on Postsecondary Preparation and Arts - State statute (Wis. Stat. 115.385) requires DPI to include course participation and outcomes in certain areas:
Postsecondary preparation: advanced placement course participation, dual enrollment, industry recognized credentials, and youth apprenticeship. (
These data are available for grades 9-12 only.)
Arts courses: participation in dance, drama, music, and visual arts courses. (
These data are available for grades 9-12 only.)
