Forensics is speech based and is meant to help develop skills in speaking. Participants choose what category they would like to compete in which range from poetry, prose, playacting, storytelling, demonstration speaking, and public address. Participants go to a competition in their chosen area and are judged by a panel of judges. Participants are scored by the judges. If they score high enough, they can go to state and obtain awards. It's a fun club to participate in and even if you don't make it to the state level, you can feel proud of yourself for trying and improving your speaking ability.
