Hello, and welcome to the Art Department page!!

My name is Mrs. Heideman and if you are looking to try something new, or to continue to improve your skills, art class is the place for you!

Students of all levels are welcome and encouraged to work hard, try new materials and stretch their creativity! I believe art can be taught and is a skill that will help you in any career that you choose, as well as help you to be a better problem solver and critical thinker.

If you take a moment to think about it...art is everywhere…from the clothes you wear to the furniture you use, to the packaging of your favorite foods. Someone, an artist, has designed literally everything you use on a regular basis.

The Art Department has a variety of classes to offer students. It's recommended that beginners start their artistic journey in Art Foundations. This course is designed to expose the student to as many different art materials as possible. Material such as pencils, ink, charcoal, pastels, watercolors, printmaking and clay will be used and art movements like realism, surrealism, and abstraction will be explored.
