Welcome New Superintendent

Dear Mayville Community,

It is a great honor to be able to lead the School District of Mayville. This past summer has been a busy one as we completed building updates, conducted staff professional development, and began our Facility Community Committee conversations.

Prior to my leadership role at Mayville, I began my educational career as a Primary School and High School Art Teacher for the Watertown School District. After completing my Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Marian University, I spent eight years as a High School administrator at Sheboygan Falls (six years) and Lake Mills (two years) before stepping into the K-8 Principal, Business Manager, and District Administrator position at Neosho School. Four years later, I added in the duties of Rubicon J6 School District Administrator before leading the consolidation of Herman #22, Rubicon J6, and Neosho J3 to become the HNR School District.

I am excited to be a part of the School District of Mayville’s caring professional learning community. It is my goal to support the expansion of personalized learning planned for this school year as we focus on a growth mindset to meet the diverse needs of our learners. In 2016-17, our school district strives to continue our strong commitment to academic excellence as we create an adaptive and responsive system of learning that is meaningful for all.

I look forward to creating connections with our community throughout the upcoming months and hope that our students and staff have an amazing 2016-17 school year. Go Cardinals!

Welcome to the School District of Mayville website.  The school community of learners at Mayville, which includes staff, students, parents, and citizens, believes...

That Students Come First

Student needs and well-being are at the center of all we do.  Our goal is to maximize the full potential of each student.  We commit to being a proactive, ever-changing district that prepares students for success and citizenship in the 21st century workforce and community.

In Mutual Trust and Respect

We view ourselves as a family-centered school district that practices open and honest communication with staff, students, parents, and community.  We respect and encourage differing points of view while committing to find common ground to serve students’ best interests.  As role models for each other, we encourage and demonstrate mutual respect, trust, and healthy problem-solving.

In Working Together

Through our united efforts, we maximize the impact of student learning.  With professional educators who share in decision-making, collaborate on learning experiences, and utilize state-of-the-art curricula, we ensure that students are developing to their full potential.  Working together, we make the “Mayville difference!”

In Pursuit of Excellence

We strive to be the best in all we do.  Our daily commitment to excellence extends beyond teaching and learning to include the highest standards of professionalism.  Professional development, innovative thinking, a service-oriented mindset, and fiscal responsibility are cornerstone values upon which we operate.

These beliefs are evidenced daily in our signature programs and services.  Come and take a look for yourself.  This year’s state test results also position Mayville students at the “top of the class” in terms of state and local comparables.  We are proud of our work, but continue to grow.  Next year, we will be launching new AP Courses at the high school level and a new Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math laboratory in grades 6-9.  Technology integration continues to evolve with every high school students receiving their own electronic device, and we are expanding elective offerings at our middle school level.  We will also be piloting a personalized learning program which will allow each student to progress at their own pace utilizing technology.  These are some of the many exciting things to come, while continuing our commitment to the “basics” of reading, writing, and math.

Thank you for taking the time to visit our website, and please let us know how we can serve.
