High School Technology Education Teacher

Job Description:

The Mayville High School is seeking applicants for a teaching position for the second semester in technology education that includes 
supporting STEM (STEM Academy) education.  Courses include small engines, Architectural  Design, and Principles of Engineering
 (STEM Academy) at the high school and a STEM related course at the middle school.

Qualification:

Knowledge and experience in traditional and computer assisted technology education programs is needed. This position requires 
knowledge of modular courses and hands-on project-based learning in technology and STEM courses. The candidate will have 
training, experience, and/or demonstrated ability in designing, building, and testing student-led projects in an educational setting. 
A desire to meet the needs of all students, including at-risk, special education, and English Language Learners, is paramount.  
Additional abilities include creating community partnerships with our school district and work with a community-based advisory 
committee to sustain and update an evolving technical education program.

Utilizing technology skills, willingness to learn technology skills, and the ability to apply those skills in the classroom are necessary
and important traits.  Successful candidates must possess knowledge of and/or experience in STEM programming and be proficient 
in the areas of CAD, Woods production systems, and energy and power systems.  Position requires knowledge of modular instruction 
and also hands-on technology education equipment and kits in grades 7-12.  The preferred candidate will have experience in wood 
fabrication concepts, and CAD/CAM.

 

Requirements:

Applicants must hold a license in Technology Education (#1220).  Candidates must be certified to teach grades 7 - 12.  
Candidates seeking licensure through an alternative program will be considered.  Individuals with a background in manufacturing, 
computers, and/or engineering are invited to apply.
